Ciencia Puerto Rico

Dear friends,

Welcome to the new and improved website for Ciencia Puerto Rico. The redesign of our website has been a labor of love that has taken up much of the time of the CienciaPR team during the past few months! Our vision is to provide to the world an introduction about science and scientists in and from Puerto Rico and also to provide a home and an interactive community for anyone who feels identified with our mission and our passion for science and Puerto Rico.

In these pages you will find specialized resources and information for students of all stages, and scientists working as postdocs, educators, entrepreneurs, faculty and others. You'll also find tools to seek funding, jobs, publications, scientific organizations in Puerto Rico, forums, events and more. Some of the new tools on the website include:

  • Maps of nearby users
  • Advanced member searches
  • Ability to upload your Curriculum Vitae
  • Ability to create personal bibliographies, including the ability to share your own papers if you wish
  • Ability to have a personal blog
  • And much more!

The redesign would not have been possible without support from the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust, which awarded us the grant that facilitated this new portal. We also want to thank the company Altamente GS, LLC who did the programming and web design work.

We hope you like the new website and to enjoy all the tools and capabilities offered. Please explore, navigate, inquire: the more you use the portal more you discover!

And to kick off this new community we suggest you visit our message board and comment on the hot topic right now: What question would you like to ask the candidates for governor in relation to their scientific platforms?

We hope you enjoy it!

-Team CienciaPR
