The Universidad de Puerto Rico Río Piedras (UPR-RP), was awarded a $424,956 federal grant to study the fungi communities that grew in homes around San Juan that were damaged by hurricanes Irma and Maria.

14 High School students graduate from project seed

As part of a collaboration agreement with Yale University, students of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine will be able to complete the PhD portion of their MD/PhD at the Ivy League school. Viceversa, students from Yale University will be able to complete their medical studies in Puerto Rico.

The shutdwon of the federal governement had affected research conducted at the University of Puerto Rico and the Medical Sciences Campus. The federal governement was re-opnened on Thursday, October 17th and the federal agencies are sending out guidelines about the next steps for the affected grantees.
