Yeast Genetics Meeting, Seattle Washington

You are invited to attend the Yeast Genetics Meeting, July 29 – August 3, 2014 at the University of Washington, Seattle. This is the premier meeting for students, postdoctoral fellows, research staff and principal investigators studying various aspects of eukaryotic biology in yeast.

Along with presentations from the submitted abstracts, the following awards and lectures, which are a cornerstone of the meeting, will be presented:

  • George Church, Lee Hartwell Lecture

  • Olga Troyanskaya, Ira Herskowitz Award

  • Jeremy Thorner, Lifetime Achievement Award

  • Anita Hopper, Winge-Lindegren Address

In addition, there will be two special presentations: Jon Lorsch, Director of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, NIH will discuss the future plans of the institute and Gerry Fink, MIT, will give a retrospective look at Fred Sherman’s life and his impact on the field of yeast genetics research.
