RESEARCH EXPERIENCES FOR UNDERGRADUATES (REU)

INCLUSION (INCUBATING A NEW COMMUNITY OF LEADERS USING SOFTWARE, INCLUSION, INNOVATION, INTERDISCIPLINARY AND OPEN-SCIENCE

INCLUSION (Incubating a New Community of Leaders Using Software, Inclusion, Innovation, Interdisciplinary and OpeN-Science) is a 10-week software-in-research training experience at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).

In INCLUSION, pairs of students will work on socially-impactful research centered around open source software, guided by pairs of mentors.

This program is made possible by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The nation’s premier academic supercomputing center, NCSA, located on the campus of one of the nation’s top public land-grant universities, the University of Illinois, wants you, the nation’s future scientist and collaborator, to work with our experts in software development and deployment for 10 weeks to help you learn about software as a part of research!

This particular opportunity is perfect for highly-motivated students of diverse backgrounds, including those from minority serving institutions (MSIs)—such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs). If you are interested in a different undergraduate research program, you can find other options for all other REU sites

Time is running out: apply by March 13!
