Project: I am part of an NIH funded grant to help develop Bioinformatics Programs at Minority Institutions in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. This is a 5 year contract between the UPR MSC and Carnegie Mellon University. I am also working in the develppment of new paramagnetic molecules with Dr. Raphael Raptis from the UPR Río Piedras Chemistry Department. With Faculty and Staff of the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center we are working in the development of High Performance Computing Applications for phylogenomics.

About me: I am Professor in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the UPR School of Medicine. I am working in several projects related to Bioinformatics and MRI/Medical Imaging.
