UPR MSC recieves Grant from the NIH for Biomedical Research

The Medical Sciences campus at the University of Puerto Rico received a grant from the NIH to established the Puerto Rico-IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (PR-INBRE) program.

UPR Humacao recieve research grant from NSF

Puerto Rican engineer Ileana Rivera, director of the technology used by Cisco's over 70,000 employees, was recognized by CNET en Español as one of the most influential Latinos in the technology industry of 2015.

Five Puerto Rican Engineers Recognized as Luminaries in STEM at HENAAC

At least four talented Puerto Ricans will be recognized as luminaries in STEM at the HENAAC Conference (Great Minds in STEM) in Pasadena, California. These four Puerto Rican engineers are part of a group of 19 engineers that will be recognized by their work. The four Puerto Rican engineers are:

Adriana Santos – Alumna from UPR, Mayagüez in 2012

Paloma Díaz Candelas – Alumna from UPR, Mayagüez in 2011

Charles Parkhurst – Alumn from UPR, Mayagüez

Fernando Rosario – Alumn from Purdue

Marvi Matos _ Alumna, UPR Mayagüez and Carnegie Mellon

Students at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez excelled in Brazil

Borinqueña names most promising engineer with a PhD by Great Minds in STEM

Dr. Marvi Matos, Director of Chemical Technologies, Metals and Ceramics for Boeing Research and Technology at the Boeing Company, CienciaPR volunteer and Borinqueña was named the most promising engineer with an advanced degree (PhD) by the organization Great Minds in STEM.
