For the third consecutive year, Ciencia Puerto Rico has been selected as a grantee for the Society for Science's STEM Action Grants program.
The grant will support Laboratorio de Ciencia Comunitaria (Community Science Laboratory, CienciaCoLab), our program aimed at community leaders and individuals who organize and support their communities in Puerto Rico. CienciaCoLab strengthens their capacity to design and implement projects that integrate the scientific method and design thinking with local knowledge and strengths, addressing real community needs and priorities.
Society for Science awarded $295,000 in funding to 61 organizations across the United States and Puerto Rico this year. With this grant, we will continue to expand opportunities for more community leaders to integrate scientific thinking into the work they are already doing.
