The Burroughs Wellcome Fund, an independent private foundation established to advance biomedical research and education, is seeking to hire a program officer to manage its competitive award program in education and diversity, as well as develop and administer other award programs.  BWF is located in Research Triangle Park, N.C. and annually awards $35 million in grants.

Dr. Marcel J. Castro Sitiriche, professor at RUM received an important grant from Fulbright Foundation to conduct research in Tanzania, Africa. The title of his research proposal is Sustainable Energy Education for Rural Electrification: Pathways to Community Empowerment and Quality of Life.
