Nuestros contadores de historias serán:

• Danilo Pérez Rivera: estudiante de química en la UPR Cayey que usa informática para entender cómo cambios en la temperatura de la atmósfera podría dar paso a vida en otros planetas y ganador de FameLab Puerto Rico.

• Ilka Rodríguez: ingeniera mecánica egresada de la UPR Mayagüez y quien comenzará estudios graduados interdisciplinarios en diseño en la Universidad de Michigan en agosto. Ponente de TEDxUPRM, quien hablará sobre cómo su entrenamiento en el ballet la ayudó en la ingeniería.

• Wilfredo Méndez: arquitecto, profesor en la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico y director del laboratorio Biotectónica. Su trabajo se inspira en la naturaleza—en particular la biología—para crear edificios sustentables y que respondan al medio ambiente. 

• Mónica I. Feliú-Mójer: Neurobióloga y comunicadora, se dedica a crear recursos e iniciativas para hacer la ciencia accesible y culturalmente relevante. Es vicedirectora de Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR), y además, labora para iBiology.

Our storytellers will be:

• Danilo Pérez Rivera: undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) in Cayey. He uses computational approaches to understand how changes in temperature in the atmosphere could lead to life in other planets. He is the winner of FameLab Puerto Rico 2016. 

• Ilka Rodríguez: mechanical engineer, graduate of UPR Mayagüez, who will begin graduate studies at the University of Michigan later this year. She will share how her training as a ballet dancer helped her as an engineer. 

• Wilfredo Méndez: architect, professor at the School of Architecture at the Pontificial Catholic University of Puerto Rico, and director of Biotectónica lab. His work finds inspiration in biological systems to design sustainbale buildings that respond to the environment. 

• Mónica I. Feliú-Mójer: neurobiologist and science communicator, her work focuses on creating resources and initiatives to make science accesible and culturally relevant. She is the vice-director of Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR), and a program manager with iBiology.
