The Center for Innovation of the Puerto Rico Small Business and Technology Development Center Network (SBTDC) will celebrate its 8th SBIR & STTR Caribbean Conference for entrepreneurs, scientists and researchers on Thursday, August 20, 2015, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, at Isla Verde. At this annual event participants can learn about the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, with more than $2.1 billion dollars in funds.

Already are confirmed key program managers of the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Health and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Other federal agencies and guest speakers will provide insight of the opportunities available and how to get them successfully.
The participants can also do networking with other technology small business and researchers and analyze opportunities for matchmaking with program managers. Is very important that for registration those interested visit www.prsbtdc.org, at the Innovation section of this website.

Since 1997, the Puerto Rico Small Business & Technology Development Centers which aims to encourage companies to grow, innovate and export, assist small and medium size businesses through counseling and training services with centers located in Arecibo, Caguas, Fajardo, Ponce, San Juan and San Germán. The program has expanded with two specialized centers, the International Trade Center and the Center for Innovation, located at Union Plaza Building in Hato Rey.

The Puerto Rico Small Business & Technology Development Centers Network is a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Inter American University of PR, and the special support of PRIDCO. Also the PR Science, Technology & Research Trust supports the Fast Seed Funding initiative of the SBTDC. For over 18 years the Puerto Rico SBTDC has developed and strenghthened the small business community in the Island striving to take businesses to the next level.
