The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) is now accepting applications for the 2016 Youth Awards; Educational Grants are available for students who are part of the graduatingClass of 2017. For the 18th year, recipients will be selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their focus in various educational categories. Once selected the students will be celebrated at 10 regional ceremonies across the country and receive grants to continue their education or to fund an idea or project that will serve to impact their communities.

 

2016 Youth Awards Categories are:

·         Business & Entrepreneurship

·         Education

·         Engineering

·         Mathematical Sciences

·         Healthcare & Sciences

·         Community Service

 

The young leaders will also become part of our unique cycle of leadership which promotes accomplishments and the great promise of the community to meet America’s priorities in the classroom and workforce.

 

To be considered, student’s must:

·         Be currently enrolled in high school, graduating in the Spring of 2017

·         Planning to enroll in college in 2017-2018

·         Identify as being of Hispanic/Latino descent

·         Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or 7.5 (on a 10.0 scale)

·         Must be able to attend mandatory regional awards ceremony to receive award.

·         U.S Permanent Resident/US Citizen/or qualify under the DACA.
