About the ARC Network:

The ARC Network Project, funded by a generous grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), aspires to disrupt the cultural barriers and artificial boundaries that have reduced the efficacy of diverse global efforts to bring gender equity to STEM in the academic workplace. Through the ARC Network, researchers, practitioners, administrators, decision-makers, faculty, funders, editorial staff and publishers, evaluation committee members, diversity and inclusion groups, professional societies, industry stakeholders, existing and emerging communities of practice, and more will collaborate, share, and adopt equity resources, including research, data, standards for research and evaluation instrumentation, and evidence-based practices, programmatic activities, tools, training, strategies, and policies proven to effect change.

Position Summary:

The ARC Network Project Director (PD) is responsible for providing strategic management for this new AWIS initiative.  The PD provides leadership and direction for day-to-day operations of the ARC Network to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. The PD will have primary responsibility for the integration of activities across the ARC Network including the ARC Research Board, the External Advisory Committee, and Communities of Practice, Virtual Visiting Scholars, consultants and contractors, including the Community Manager and Communications Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to change the way we study and promote gender equity within STEM and postsecondary higher education.  Candidates should have a passion to innovate, solve problems, and meet the challenges and opportunities of gender equity policy and practice in higher education.
