Faculty Position in Applied Physics Stanford University The Department of Applied Physics at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position. We seek candidates with exceptional promise of major future achievements who will lead innovative research efforts in fields broadly aligned with the existing strengths and interests of the department. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, atomic & molecular physics; biophysics; condensed matter & materials physics; lasers & photonics; quantum engineering & quantum information; nanoscience & nanotechnology; and accelerator physics. Applicants should hold an earned doctorate in a core science or engineering discipline, have outstanding potential for establishing an independent research program, and show promise of becoming excellent teachers at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
