The Department of Neurosciences, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We seek applicants who utilize innovative methodological approaches to investigate basic mechanisms of neural development, regeneration, or neural circuit function and how perturbation of these mechanisms contributes to neurological, neurodegenerative, and/or psychiatric diseases. The new investigator will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of individuals in basic science and clinical departments within the School of Medicine, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, and MetroHealth Medical Center. Case Western Reserve University has an outstanding infrastructure for biomedical research including recently renovated animal facilities and core facilities supporting state-of-the-art methodologies in cellular and whole animal imaging, behavioral analyses, and proteomics and genomics. Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has committed significant resources for major expansion of neuroscience research.

Applicants for a position as Assistant Professor should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, 3 to 5 years postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of scholarly activity. Candidates for appointment as Associate Professor should have these credentials and be nationally recognized scholars with a strong, externally funded research program.
