The Foundation will award undergraduate scholarships to outstanding students, to be known as Barry Goldwater Scholars, in the spring of 2014 for use during the 2014–2015 academic year. The awards will be made on the basis of merit to two groups of students—those who will be college juniors and those who will be college seniors in the 2014–2015 academic year—who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue research careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering. 

 

To apply for a Barry Goldwater Scholarship, students must be nominated by their institution's Goldwater Faculty Representative. The Goldwater Scholarship Application is an online electronically submitted application and cannot be directly submitted by the student. The application can only be submitted by the Goldwater Faculty Representative.
