Responsibilities

The Lilly del Caribe COOP Program offers college students an enriching, hands-on experience with competitive pay in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. They are assigned a series of productivity and efficiency-based projects which allow them to maximize their acquired knowledge and enhance their leadership skills while making significant contributions to our organization. 

Each student is assigned to an area where they will put their acquired knowledge into practice by working on a variety of projects and daily tasks on a full-time basis for a period of approximately 20 weeks. These projects and tasks will be focused on improving and innovating certain processes. For Science majors, these areas may include, but are not limited to: 

· Quality Assurance or Quality Control 

· Analytical Excellence Laboratory 

· Environmental Health and Safety 

· Technical Services and Manufacturing Science 

· Information Technology 

Basic Qualifications

Education: 
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree within the following Science majors at an accredited college or institution: 

· Pharmacy 

· Chemistry 

· Microbiology 

· Industrial Biotechnology 

· Industrial Hygiene 

· Computer Science 

Although a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, a GPA of 2.50 is considered the minimum requirement. 



Availability: 

Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (full-time) for a minimum of 20 weeks. Based on individual performance and the needs of the organization, the COOP period for each student can last from 5 months to a maximum of 1 year. 

Additional Skills/Preferences

It is required that all COOP students be enrolled in a COOP or internship course at their respective college or institution and provide evidence of its insurance coverage.
