The LEAP STEAM+E Academy is seeking a Director of Curriculum and Instruction who will work with the Instructional Leadership Team about the development, maintaining and revising of school curriculum.  The Director will work to discern and turnkey best practices regarding instructional methodology and pedagogy. Responsible of Teacher Professional Development plan and it’s implantation. Support Teachers, Instructional Assistance, and non-certificated staff. Works with the department chairs, subject matter teachers in the development of the total school curriculum and assists in the formation of a philosophy and objectives for the instructional plan. Studies, evaluates, and as appropriate recommends to the BOT the adoption of new instructional materials, methods, and programs. Provides leadership in the development of the K-12 instructional program.  Help in achievement of state core curriculum content standards and LEAP goals and objectives. Oversees and assists in the evaluation of teaching staff including the performance of teacher observations.  Assumes responsibility for reviewing and evaluating results of district-wide testing programs, and for other evaluative measures used by the schools. Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and academy policy.

Education Master’s degree or higher from a recognized college or university.
Holds a valid PR DOE Principal Certification or in process. Such other qualifications of academic, professional, STEAM Curriculum, and personal excellence .
