We wanted to share that we have paid internships available here at the FDA San Francisco District Office in Alameda, CA as well as the South San Francisco Resident Post. Please share with your networks if you know anyone who would be interested and qualified. It’s a great way to get an exposure to working in a government agency and get some resume building experience!

What: Paid Internship with FDA San Francisco District for the Summer of 2019. These internships are focused on Administrative Support and will primarily be reporting to the District Director and/or the District Administrative Officer. In addition, the San Francisco Laboratory will also be selecting interns off this announcement as well.

When: The internship will start in approximately May and can last until September 30, 2019. The position is a summer-only student trainee and will be full-time during the summer.

Pay: The internships are offered at GS 1 – 7 level. The exact grade a student intern is brought on depends on the level of education and grade point average of the applicant. The hourly rate will fall in the range of $12.54/hour to $23.93/hour depending on grade qualified.

Qualifications: All candidates must be currently enrolled in High School or a degree-seeking student at a vocational college, 2 or 4 year degree program, or enrolled in a graduate program. All candidates must be able to provide proof of Spring Enrollment. All candidates must have at least a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

High School Students can qualify at the GS-1 level. High School Graduates can qualify at the GS-2 level. Students who have completed one year of college can qualify at the GS-3 level; 2 years of college or an Associate’s Degree can qualify at the GS-4 level. 4 years of college study or a BA/BS degree can qualify at the GS-5 level. GS-7 requires one year of graduate study or superior academic achievement.
