Deadline to apply Sept 16, 2006!!! FREE TRIP TO UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS In an effort to increase the diversity of its graduate student body, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is offering a no-obligation, expense-paid campus visit to promising engineering, physics and chemistry students who are preparing for graduate study. The trip is sponsored by the Multi-Cultural Engineering Recruitment for Graduate Education (MERGE) program. This year's MERGE program will be held on Oct. 13 & 14 with travel on Oct. 12 & 15. Complete information on the MERGE program, including application instructions can be found on the website www.engr.uiuc.edu/mep/merge.html. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and be enrolled in (or have recently completed) an accredited curriculum in engineering, physics or chemistry. Preference is given to students who are planning to enter graduate studies in 2007 and whose cultural background will contribute to the diversity of the graduate student body. It is important to note that in order to take advantage of this opportunity, you must submit the application materials no later than September 16, 2006.
