Mas detalles de este programa: The second annual Google Science Fair has launched! The Google Science Fair is an international competition which encourages students between the ages of 13 to 18 to be curious, ask questions, and perform science experiments to answer those questions. In partnership with CERN, National Geographic, LEGO and Scientific American, Google invites these students to post their science projects online so that they may compete for prizes, scholarships and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. For 2012, the competition has a new “Science in Action” prize for the top science project that shows positive, local community impact. 90 regional winners will be selected from around the world. From this pool, 15 global finalists will be flown to Google headquarters in Mountain View, California to present their projects in front of a panel of esteemed judges. From these 15 finalists, the judges will select a winner in each age category (13-14, 15-16, 17-18), as well as a grand-prize winner. The winners receive once-in-a-lifetime prizes. Interested students and teachers should visit www.google.com/sciencefair to register to be notified when the competition opens.
