The American Physical Society Minority Scholarship helps increase the number of under-represented minorities obtaining degrees in physics. The scholarship provides funding and mentoring to minority physics students, helping them enhance their education and for successfully prepare for a variety of careers. Any African-American, Hispanic American, or Native American U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is majoring or planning to major in physics, and who is a high school senior, college freshman, or sophomore is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Engineering physics and applied physics majors also welcome to apply.
