ELIGIBILITY for the V.A. Program:

  • Minimum GPA 2.7
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident (no visas or work permits)
  • Students must identify as an ethnic minority (American Indian, Native Alaskan, Asian and Pacific Islander, Black, or Hispanic)
  • Only current students: 4th year undergraduates, graduate, or post graduate students may apply
  • Individuals with five or more years of professional experience in the health field are not eligible to apply for this program
  • English working proficiency (written and oral)
  • Spanish fluency varies depending on program

*Stipends are not intended to cover all of the fellow's living expenses, bills, loans, etc.

*Fellows are typical housed in dorms or two bedroom apartments and share a room with one other fellow.

*Fellows are responsible for arranging their own mode of transportation to the program site and from housing arrangements to the office.
