The School of Gender, Race and Nations in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Portland State University invites applicants for a 3-year renewable position as Director to begin September 1, 2016. The Director will hold a tenurable academic rank of associate or full professor in Chicano Latino Studies, Black Studies, or Indigenous Nations Studies.  We seek an individual with proven success in the administration of interdisciplinary academic units, a distinguished scholar, and an experienced teacher.  The Director will teach courses in his/her home department associated with the School?s graduate program. Additionally the Director will oversee the budget, graduate program development, grant-sponsored research, and fundraising for the School.  A Ph.D. or equivalent is required.
