Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and working in collaboration with laboratory personnel, this position will collect, analyze and present findings regarding neurodevelopmental events in C. elegans embryos, including preparation of scientific reports and papers for research proposals and published records. The position will also create nematode transgenic strains through microinjection, and organize freezing, storing and managing the laboratory transgenic nematode strains. The position will also interact with external contacts such as researchers from other institutions and vendors to consult research methods and assist in the ordering and organization of lab reagents. Advanced knowledge in C. elegans husbandry, genetics and imaging, and in molecular biology, a plus.
