Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) is seeking, a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer and program coordinator for the Center for Biotechnology Education (CBE), which houses several biotechnology master’s degrees and post-degree certificates.  In this position, the coordinator teaches 5 courses, advises students and provides academic administrative support for the programs, including the launch new program initiatives.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in one of these areas; bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, biotechnology, molecular biology or a related field and will teach core courses as well as courses in the individual’s area of expertise. 

The Program Coordinator position is a non-tenure-track, 12-month renewable faculty position. administered from the Montgomery County Campus.  The Faculty Program Coordinator will report to the Program Director for Biotech programs.   This faculty/administrative position will require some evening and weekend work and travel between the Montgomery County Campus and the Homewood campus.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a field related to the life sciences, with expertise in one of these areas; bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, biotechnology, molecular biology or a related field, and have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders.  The faculty program coordinator must have prior teaching and advising experience, preferably at the graduate level.
