The NIH National Graduate Student Research Festival (NGSRF) is a two-day event to be held on the NIH campus. The purpose of the festival is to bring together potential postdoctoral candidates and NIH investigators as a means of recruiting these candidates into NIH laboratories. The target group for participation is outstanding senior-level graduate students from across the country. The candidates will be selected from a national search based on abstract submissions, CVs, and a letter of recommendation from their graduate advisor. These candidates will showcase their talents and science to the NIH community through poster sessions. The research, resources, and facilities of the NIH will be highlighted in plenary sessions to be held during the festival. Group tours and individual interviews between the candidate and NIH investigators will also be conducted. By bringing the candidates to the NIH, this festival will allow NIH investigators to interview numerous potential postdoctoral fellows.
