The Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) School of Medicine has two open tenure-track positions at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a basic science, significant experience teaching dental, medical, and/or graduate courses, and a strong commitment to research and the training of graduate students. Candidates aspiring to the assistant professor level must also have postdoctoral experience, a publication record, and experience submitting competitive grant proposals to obtain external funding. Field of research, within the disciplines of Anatomy and Neurobiology, is open. Teaching responsibilities (in either English or Spanish) will be considerable, in the fields of histology/cell biology, embryology, gross anatomy, and neuroscience, for dental/medical/graduate students. These will include, among other activities, course coordination and administration, lecture and laboratory instruction, curricular updates, new course creation/design, public outreach activities, and student mentoring. Research is to be carried out in collaboration with other departmental investigators, through their labs and common use departmental and institutional facilities.
