A postdoctoral position is available immediately for an enthusiastic and creative PhD and/or MD (or equivalent) with considerable expertise in analytical techniques and redox biology with good knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology and signaling and/or imaging techniques. The successful candidate will work on research projects dealing with free radical biochemistry, oxidant production in the cardiovascular system and the developing brain and mechanisms of disease. Previous experience working with tissue and animal models is a plus. The laboratory of the PI is part of the Redox Biology Program at MCW. Our lab maintains close contact with investigators in both basic and translational research related to a number of fields including transplantation, genetics, cardiovascular and developmental neurobiology. The Department of Biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) ranks among the two top nationally and has strong research and training programs on Free Radical, EPR and MRI technologies (http://www.mcw.edu/display/router.asp?DocID=146). The successful candidate will have numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside our institution and comprehensive support from the MCW Office of Postdoctoral Education.
