Post-Doctoral Studies in Cancer Chemoprevention Hollings Cancer Center, Charleston, SC Open position: Post-doctoral fellow for program in colon cancer chemoprevention at the Medical University of South Carolina, Hollings Cancer Center, Charleston, South Carolina. Research focuses on three major areas: 1) Agent Discovery, 2) Cell and Molecular Mechanisms of Action, and 3) Implementation of Chemoprevention in Humans. Projects are focused on investigating the use of traditional medicinal plants for cancer chemoprevention, understanding the biological and functional significance of chemopreventive agents in inflammatory responses, and the discovery and application of novel adjuvant therapies in human cancer chemoprevention. Minimum Training and Education: Ph.D. with research experience Additional Knowledge, Skill and Ability Preferred Requirements: A doctoral degree, experience in molecular/cell biology, and protein biochemistry and excellent communication skills are required. The post-doctoral scholar is expected to obtain extramural funding during the second year of research. Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience in cancer biology, cancer chemoprevention, or other related field.
