We are pleased to inform you that under the auspices of the American Physiological Society (APS) we have organized the Puerto Rico Physiological Society (PRPS). The PRPS Chapter intends to bring together researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, and faculty involved in the physiological sciences in Puerto Rico. In collaboration with the APS, it will sponsor activities directed at promoting physiological sciences on the island, including educational activities at high schools to foster interest in our programs. The Chapter will be an excellent forum for the presentation and discussion of research work and ideas in physiology, and will be the public voice for the island community of physiologists, and its liaison at the APS. We invite you to become a member of our Chapter so that you can participate in the various activities that are planned. In February 2011, we will have an inaugural meeting with recognized guests from the APS, faculty presentations, poster presentations, and a dinner with a guest lecturer. This meeting will be an exciting and educational event with many opportunities for networking and collaborations. Requests for an applications can be made to: Dr. Priscila Sanabria, Secretary‐Treasurer at psanabriar@gmail.com Please contact us to answer any doubts that you may have. Thank you.
