Are you thinking of applying to a graduate program and you don't know where to start? The Getting YOU into IUPUI (GU2IUPUI) Institute can help! IUPUI is home to two of Indiana's top universities - Indiana University and Purdue University in Indianapolis (IUPUI).
GU2IUPUI Institute is specifically for students from under-served or underrepresented backgrounds who are interested in PhD programs. Selected participants will receive a travel award (domestic flight or mileage) to Indianapolis, housing accommodations and an application fee waiver ($70 value) to apply to one of IUPUI’s more than 250 graduate programs.
As a participant, you will meet with faculty, staff, current students, and department representatives, as well as attend tailored workshops and panel discussions to assist with preparing YOU for graduate school.

- Grad faculty’s tips on applying and getting admitted into graduate school
- Departmental visits
- Preparing your application package
- Personal Statement Workshop* & Institute Closing Ceremony
*Participants may submit their personal statements for review.
