Why should you apply to our Genomics Summer Research for Minorities Internship at the University of Utah?
1. Our ten-week program is focused in genomics research, bioinformatics, personalized medicine, and new this year: ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI) of genomics research. Interns will join world-class research groups and receive tailored mentorship, professional development workshops and access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
2. We offer a generous stipend, travel allowance and housing on the university campus. Each GSRM position is considered employment. Completion of work hours and assignments are required to receive up to $5,500 for the summer.
3. The GSRM program was one out of only two undergraduate summer programs at the University of Utah that provided a full virtual research program in 2020. We learned a lot and we are confident in our ability to deliver a high-quality research and professional internship experience either in-person or virtually.

This opportunity is for undergraduate students. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a member of a historically excluded or minoritized groups (as defined by the National Institutes of Health).
