The Department of Biological Sciences seeks to recruit for the Fall semester of 2016 a nontenure track Lecturer with expertise in Cell Biology and ideally one or more of the following disciplines: Biochemistry, Genetics, or Molecular or Developmental Biology. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. or M.S. degree (Ph.D. preferred) and experience in collegelevel teaching including laboratory courses. The candidate should have experience with current methods for encouraging student engagement and assessing learning. UMBC is a mediumsized research university in the BaltimoreWashington D.C. area, whose combined excellence in research and outstanding educational programs have earned recognition by US News and World Report as the "#4 Most Innovative School” and “#6 for Undergraduate Teaching”.
