Ciencia Puerto Rico hosted a celebration of its Ciencia Boricua Project, aimed at increasing interest in science and scientific careers in K-12 students by contextualizing science in Puerto Rico. This pilot project was done at the Nueva Escuela Juan Ponce de León in Guaynabo.

Researchers at the University of Puerto Rico find that deep brain stimulation (DBS), a technique used experimentally to treat depression and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), strengthens memories of safety in the brain. This may help develop new treatments for patients with anxiety disorders.
