It has been four years since the popular tourist attraction Cueva Ventana, in Arecibo, is one of the most visited places in the Island, for tourist and local residents. This ecotourism initiative is one of the few private natural resources that exist in the country, employing a team of 15 full-time. The development of the attraction has had low environmental impact.

The Puertorrican Scientist, Manuel Leal, from the University of Missouri, and his colleague, Alex Gundeson, of the San Fransisco State University/University of California Berkeley, recently proposed a mathematical model to describe the complicated relationship between the level of activity of ectothermal animals and the environmental temperature.

Sunday, February 28, 2016. San Juan, PR— The first Leatherback Turtle nest for the 2016 nesting season was reported to be seen at a beach in the Northeast Ecological Corridor Nature Reserve (NECNR).
