The Puerto Rico Science and Technology Fund presented five investigators with awards from the  “Small Research Grants Program (SRGP)”. This program seeks to provide funds to help strengthen and increase the success of these research proposals for the future consideration by federal and private agencies.

The University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon (UPRB) hosted the education program Amgen Biotechnology Lecture Series (ABLS). With the name “Professional Careers in Industrial Biotechnology”, the conference took place last February 18 in the Student Center on campus.

April 7 at UPR at Humacao

With an average of 1.1 grades Farenheit above the normal temperature, last month was registered as the fifth hottest January in the climatological history of Puerto Rico, according to data from the National Metereology Service.
