Light pollution gradually decreases

According to nocturnal maps of our planet made public by NASA, light pollution in Puerto Rico exhibited a gradual reduction between 2012 and 2016. The most notable reductions can be seen in the Central Range, Culebra and some areas of the metropolitan area of San Juan.

Many of the stars that we see are binary (double), curiously planets discovered in these two sun systems could be habitable. Studies show that it is possible that these planets could retain water on their surface for prolonged periods of time, implying the ability to sustain life.

San Juan– The EcoExploratorio: Science Museum of Puerto Rico has been chosen by the Kennedy Space Center de la NASA and the Puerto Rico Nasa Consortium as the official entity for education on the solar eclipse that will take place on Monday, August 21, 2017. Complete solar eclipses are the astronomical events that garner most public attention, and Puerto Rico has not seen one since 1998.
