We inspire middle and high school students through the online Scientists in Service speaker series, which presents the career paths and work of diverse experts and role models in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and related fields.
Students: Explore careers and science topics
You can watch the live talks through our YouTube channel and learn about various scientific topics and the exciting careers of our scientists and engineers.
At the end of the talk, you will receive a QR code or link to obtain a digital certificate of participation for one contact hour by answering a short form. If you missed the talk, you can still watch the recording and redeem your certificate.
Educators: A resource to complement your class
You can invite your student group(s) to participate in the live talks and request proof of attendance through the digital certificate of participation that your students receive. The Itinerary is announced through this portal and all our communication platforms.
We provide a short guide with ideas on how to incorporate the talks into your classes.
Speakers: Tell your story and that of your work in science
- Expertise
- STEM professionals (from public, academic, or private sectors) with an advanced degree in a STEM discipline
- Graduate students in a STEM discipline
- Undergraduate students with at least 2-3 years of undergraduate research experience
- Advanced STEM knowledge and/or research experiences
- Good oral communication skills
- Interest in impacting K-12 students in Puerto Rico
