"Boricua brains" awarded prestigious scholarship at the federal level

The National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF- GRFP) is perhaps the most competitive and prestigious scholarship for doctoral students interested in a variety of disciplines related to science, engineering, technology and mathematics.

We are pleased to celebrate with you the names of twenty-three students from Puerto Rican universities who received this prestigious award and of three students who received honorable mentions. Only 17% of people who apply are awarded the scholarship.

Program
The American Society for Microbiology's Education Department has an opening for an ASM Headquarter (HQ) Fellow. The Department offers conferences, professional development, fellowships, guidelines, a journal, and online resources and communities.  The Fellow will have the opportunity to learn about and gain experience with a wide range of educational projects for students, trainees, educators and science faculty.

Si eres estudiante graduado de 1ro o 2do año, te recomendamos solicitar al programa de becas de NSF, el cual reconoce estudiantes prometedores que estén cursando su maestrías o doctorados en disciplinas de ciencia o ingeniería. A pesar de ser un programa altamente competitivo, los estudiantes de Puerto Rico han sido muy exitosos en el pasado consiguiendo estas becas.
