Cornell’s 15-week, self-paced Public Health Leadership Essentials (PHLE) program helps current and emerging public health leaders build the strategic skills needed to guide teams, strengthen organizations, and improve community health. The curriculum is practical and problem-solving–focused, combining asynchronous online learning with applied assignments, peer discussion, and facilitator feedback. Learners develop a leadership vision and professional development plan while gaining hands-on experience in areas such as systems thinking, team leadership, strategic management, monitoring & evaluation, communication, and policy engagement.

This cohort will also support participants in applying these skills to create or enhance a workforce development plan for their organization.
