They Change the World- The Exhibition

Monumental exhibition

Lyda Hill Philanthropies' IF/THEN® Initiative presented #IfThenSheCan-The Exhibit, a monumental exhibition of 120 statues created with 3D printing technology, celebrating innovative contemporary women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), named IF/THEN Ambassadors. This was the world's largest exhibition of real women statues and was displayed in the cities of Dallas, New York, and Washington, DC since 2020, reaching an audience of over 3 million people.

Latinas and role models

Among a dozen Latina women represented are the Puerto Ricans Dr. Roselin Rosario-Meléndez (chemist), Dr. Minerva Cordero Braña (mathematician), and Dr. Greetchen Díaz-Muñoz (microbiologist), as well as the Venezuelan, Beatris Méndez Gandica, and the Colombian, Dr. Ana María Porras, who are also allies of the STEM program for girls, Semillas de Triunfo.

Puerto Rico, part of history

IF/THEN® donated the statues to the IF/THEN Ambassadors. Bea, Roselin, Greetchen, Minerva, and Ana María decided to transport their statues to Puerto Rico and entrust us with their care. The statues were first exhibited at the "Centro Criollo de Ciencia y Tecnología del Caribe (C3Tec) in Caguas, in March 2024. They are currently located at the Aerospace Institute of the Bayamón Science Park.
