As Operations Engineer of Spaceport Puerto Rico, Mr. Molina is in charge of evaluating operational plans from space companies interested in coming to the launch site, as well as preparing networking and marketing plans.
Mr. Molina has over 6 years of experience in the aerospace industry. During his professional career has been involved in projects regarding the commercialization of national outer-space assets, various aircraft components manufacturing and assembly projects, FAA first flight certifications, and military jet engine thermal analysis. He worked at organizations like NASA, UTC Aerospace and Infotech Aerospace Services. Currently presides as the President at the Puerto Rico National Space Society Chapter Inc. a grassroots organization that educates and advocates the benefits of space. Presently Mr. Molina volunteers at the Arecibo Observatory Space Academy as a professor and mentor.
Mr. Molina has a Master in Science in Space Studies from the International Space University (Strasbourg, France). Space Studies disciplines include NewSpace Entrepreneurship, International Space Negotiations, Management, Human Performance in Space, and Satellites and Space Applications besides others. He holds a Bachelor in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, Massachusetts).
Spaceport Puerto Rico (SPR) is a launch site facility for Horizontal and Takeoff and Landing spaceplanes at Jose Aponte De La Torres Airport, Ceiba. SPR is part of the Knowledge-Based community being developed at Roosevelt Roads for microgravity research and high-technology research and development.
