Detener la caza ilegal de tortugas marinas, el saqueo de nidos y el hurto de sus huevos ha sido el norte de un grupo de amigos maunabeños que, desde 2001, se ha enfrascado en investigaciones sobre las poblaciones de estas especies en peligro de extinción y las alternativas para preservarlas.
