Spring Term Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program

The SULI program encourages undergraduate students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories, where selected students participate as interns appointed at participating host labs. They perform research, under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers, on projects supporting the DOE mission.

Arecibo - La boa puertorriqueña fue declarada en peligro de extinción desde el 1970 y aunque sobrevive aún en distintas áreas del país, su existencia sigue amenazada y con ello se mantiene latente un riesgo a la salud de los residentes de Puerto Rico.

La situación de este reptil y de otros similares en la región del Caribe y Latinoamérica es objeto de análisis en un evento que se desarrolla este fin de semana en la Universidad Interamericana, recinto de Arecibo y que reúne a científicos de toda la región.
