Applications must be submitted through www.grants.gov no later than 11:00 pm (EST) on November 1, 2011 or postmarked no later than November 1, 2011. The NERRS Graduate Research Fellowship Program is one of the largest graduate programs supported by NOAA. Fellows conduct their research within a National Estuarine Research Reserve and gain hands-on experience by engaging with reserve staff and participating in their host reserve's research, education, stewardship and training programs. • Fellows use reserves as living laboratories to address NERRS natural and social science priority issues based on the reserves' local coastal management needs. • Fellows receive a stipend of $20,000 per year. • Funds are available on a competitive basis. • Fellowships may be funded for up to three years. • The application deadline is November 1st each year. • Fellows have the opportunity to network with and learn from local and visiting investigators. http://nerrs.noaa.gov/Fellowship.aspx For other opportunities see: http://scholarships.fatomei.com/biology-scholarships.html
