Aca les incluyo una nueva base de datos que NIH ha desarrollado que permite ver oportunidades de investigación de verano a través de los Estados Unidos que son parte del estímulo económico que NIH recibió. Se puede buscar por código de área (zip code) y te dice cuantas oportunidades hay, para que tipo de persona (e.g. estudiante de high, o maestro) y cuantas posiciones hay disponibles. Hasta el momento no hay ninguna oportunidad en Puerto Rico pero eso puede que cambie ya que todavía se están evaluando las propuestas para dinero de suplemento. Las oportunidades no incluyen dinero para viaje o casa, solo para estipendio. A number of NIH-funded researchers have funds available to support a limited number of summer research interns. The details of each internship are strictly determined between the hosting scientist or institution and the individual student or teacher. There is a short window of time between when an award is funded and when an opportunity begins, so we encourage you to contact participating laboratories soon.
