ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN SYSTEMS PHYSIOLOGY,
DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY,
UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT


The Department of Biology (www.uvm.edu/~biol) at the University of Vermont is seeking applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Systems Physiology, beginning in the fall of 2014. The most successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in systems-based molecular approaches toward understanding organismal physiology. Candidates pursuing questions in comparative physiology are especially encouraged to apply. All applicants are expected to: 1) hold a Ph.D. degree in physiology, biological science or related discipline, and have two or more years of postdoctoral experience; 2) develop a competitively funded research program; 3) teach undergraduate and graduate courses ranging from general biology to an area of the candidate’s expertise; and 4) teach, mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
