Purpose of Position
The Outreach Specialist will work with other CINSAM faculty and staff on the Next Generation STEM Classroom (ngSC)project providing professional development to classroom teachers across the region.The ngSC project is CINSAM’s main outreach program.

Primary Responsibilities
The Outreach Specialist will model best practices in teaching for in-service and pre-service teachers in Northern Kentucky elementary and middle school classrooms; develop and deliver professional development to area teachers in improving STEM teaching and learning in classrooms and schools; and work with university and school faculty to develop new lessons, programs, and materials for disseminating best practices in STEM education.

Qualifications
-Master’s degree, (Rank I or National Board Certification is a plus)
-At least 5 years science teaching experience at the elementary or middle grades levels, with preference for middle grades.
-Demonstrated record of effective STEM professional development at the desired levels.
