Provide an overview of the scientific writing and publishing process

Provide an intensive, indepth coaching and closely guided experience under the mentorship of ASM Journals editors and reviewers

Program:  Four part webinar series Four days of face to face, hands-on intensive training

Eligibility Requirement:

  • Be an ASM student, transitional or full member
  • Be a graduate student, postdoctoral scientist or early career scientist
  • Desire instruction in the preparation of original research articles for publication in ASM journals
  • Be an ASM student, transitional or full member
  • Be a senior-level graduate student or postdoctoral scientist
  • Have prepared a draft version of a first-author manuscript in a topic appropriate for an ASM journal

ASM/CDC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

The goal of the ASM/CDC Fellowship is to support the development of new approaches, methodologies and knowledge in infectious disease prevention and control in areas within the public health mission of the CDC. The fellowship allows one to perform research in residence headquartered at a CDC location. 

 

2015-2017 ASM/CDC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program:

  • Up to ten fellowship positions will be awarded for full-time research in infectious diseases, which cause significant public health problems.
  • Fellows will perform research in residence at one of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) locations in Atlanta, GA; Ft. Collins, CO; Anchorage, AK; or San Juan, Puerto Rico.
  • Offers an annual stipend and professional development opportunities
