profesor. Este programa del Burroughs Wellcome es muy
similar a los fondos K99/R00 del NIH.

Para cualificar necesitas estar en tu 2do-4to
año de postdoc y haber recibido tu PhD en
matemáticas, física, ingeniería,
química, o ciencias de cómputos o al
menos tener experiencia de investigación en
estas áreas (evidenciada por publicaciones o
grados anteriores).

Aprovechen esta excelente oportunidad. El programa
K99-R00 ha sido muy exitoso para lanzar las carreras
biomédicas de científicos jóvenes
y este programa promete hacer lo mismo para las
ciencias cuantitativas, matemáticas o
ingeniería.

Career Awards at the Scientific Interface
Advancing the careers of physical, chemical or
computational science researchers and engineers whose
work addresses biological questions.

Preproposal Deadline: September 4, 2012

BWF’s Career Awards at the Scientific Interface provide
$500,000 to bridge advanced postdoctoral training and
the first years of faculty service. These awards are
intended to foster the early career development of
researchers with backgrounds in the
physical/mathematical/computational sciences and
engineers whose work addresses biological questions. 

These awards are open to U.S. and Canadian citizens or
permanent residents as well as to U.S. temporary
residents.

Eligible candidates for this award may self-nominate by
submitting a preproposal by September 4, 2012. 

Preproposals will be reviewed by the Interfaces in
Science Advisory Committee and selected candidates will
be invited to submit a full application. Full invited
applications must be submitted by January 10, 2013.
